Wells of Hope Report
Our Child & Family Suppor Manager, Sarah Roberts, was delighted to be able to attend this year’s international study week on children of prisoners in Kampala, Uganda, from 23 to 28 September 2013. Hosted by Wells of Hope Ministries, the programme included meetings with charities, non-government organisations, and the Ugandan Prison Service as well as visits to schools, prisons, and family members’ homes. It was a week rich in opportunity to engage, reflect, and learn alongside international colleague from the UK and the US. During her visit, Sarah was also given an opportunity to share the development work that Families Outside has been doing with schools as well as deliver training to teachers and Wells of Hope staff.
