UN Convention on the Rights of the Child Bill – Families Outside’s respsonse
Last week Families Outside submitted a response to the Scottish Parliament’s Equalities and Human Rights Committee consultation on the UNCRC (Incorporation) Bill. Families Outside made a number of points to achieve two things:
- The strengthening of children’s rights during the incorporation and implementation process of the UNCRC in Scotland to ensure that children’s rights are accessible to all children and young people.
- A key focus on particular issues in the justice system where more work is required to ensure that children’s rights are respected and met.
