RBS and the Grampian Family Help Hub

Families Outside staff in Aberdeen were contacted by Royal Bank of Scotland to discuss ways that they could support families affected by imprisonment from their area and also to support the new Family Help Hub at HMP Grampian. It is hoped that this corporate sponsorship will provide staff to assist with the wrapping of Christmas gifts for families, donations to enable distribution of food parcels at the Family Help Hub, and some general funding to support families with travel and transport issues.

There have also been discussions about staff from RBS attending at the Family Help Hub to help family members open bank accounts and learn how to register for mobile updates and online banking.

At Easter time, they gave a very generous donation of thirty large Easter eggs to Families Outside so that all the children attending the Easter event at the prison had a chocolate egg to take home and scoff – sore tummies for all!
