Prisoners Week (15-22 November 2015)
‘Just Us’ : Said quickly it sounds a little like ‘justice’!
This year’s theme challenges the notion of there being an ‘us and them’ and invites all of us to see the potential in every human being.
Prisoners Week is 40 years old this year. It takes place in the third week of November and is an initiative of the Churches which aims to stimulate discussion, highlight concerns and share hope, in prisons and communities across Scotland.
You are warmly invited to the ecumenical National Launch Service for Prisoners Week at 18.30 on Monday 16th November in St Margaret’s, Drip Road, Stirling, FK9 4UA, followed by refreshments. The Service this year takes a new shape, with a variety of features and participants.
Many local community and prison events also celebrate the week. Further information about Prisoners Week can be found on the website www.prisonersweek.org.uk where there are also resources and details of organisations that offer support and advice.
