Improving Peer Support Among Families
Working with families to support each other is a key but very challenging part of our work. We are therefore delighted to be hosting Tracy Donaldson, family member and third year Community Development undergraduate at the University of Glasgow, in a placement to explore this issue. You may know Tracy from the excellent work she did with Citizens Theatre and the Garthamlock Community Group in their joint prison- and community-based production of ‘A Family Sentence’ earlier this year.
Tracy is now working with us to identify how we can improve peer support amongst families affected by imprisonment: how do we identify families willing to get involved? How do we support them in this? How do we help them sustain this? What are the barriers? What good practice exists?
